Gary joined the XL-Lead team in February 2020 with the responsibility of talent acquisition/recruitment.
After earning his BS from CSU Fullerton, Gary applied his interest in research and people and began his human resources career with a global software development company. With the responsibility of hiring for the various company departments, he quickly saw the importance of employee relations. This separate HR role was a natural overlap for him as he is able to strengthen the foundation of employee relations by responding promptly, following up, sharing visions, values and helping in talent development.
Gary is a resourceful and well-organized individual, a servant leader type. He sees employees as the customers of the HR department. He has applied this mentality at previous firms on his path to XL-Lead at small and mid-sized firms in various industries such as construction, staffing (healthcare & IT), HVAC/R and biotechnology.
